4 Weeks Ayurveda Course

Our accredited Ayurveda courses are held here at our premises in Reading for anyone who is keen to learn how to use Ayurveda to help others achieve good health and harmony through a luxurious Ayurvedic massage or treatment. All Ayurvedic training is carried out by experienced Ayurveda specialists who will ensure that you get the most out of our Ayurveda courses. Please note, however, that due to the time and commitment required to host Ayurvedic training, course dates are generally not specified until enough interest is expressed, so please do get in touch if any of the Ayurveda courses listed below appeal to you.

We offer the following seven training courses in Ayurvedic massage:

Abhyanga (Ayurveda Retreat’s Signature Massage) – Module 1 Course

This Ayurvedic training course is an intensive four-day theory and hands-on practical Ayurvedic massage course, concentrating on one of Ayurveda Retreat’s signature treatments, Abhyanga.

You may already have implemented your skills from Module 1 on clients and may have questions, or simply want additional practice and advice before you offer the Ayurvedic massage to your clients. We also welcome students who have trained elsewhere but want to consolidate their knowledge in this intensive hands-on practical workshop.

The following two Ayurveda courses are also offered at our Reading premises:

Shirodhara – Oil Flow Treatment Course

Shirodhara offers one of the most relaxing and calming experiences available. It is particularly beneficial for stress and stress-related disorders, insomnia and headaches. On the course, you will not only learn the technique for Shirodhara but also how to analyse your client’s body constitution (dosha type), and enhance this Ayurvedic treatment through stimulating marma points (energy centres).

Insight into Ayurveda Course

This intensive, interactive one-day Ayurvedic training workshop will give you an excellent understanding of the basic concepts of what Ayurveda is, and most importantly, how you can incorporate them into your daily life in order to lead a truly healthy life. This particular Ayurveda course includes a delicious Ayurvedic lunch.

Ayurvedic massage can be distinguished from other massage therapies by its unique combination of techniques, herbalised oils and knowledge of the vital points (marma), which are important in the normal flow of energy in the body. Ayurvedic massage has the dual attributes of being both pleasurable and therapeutic. Those who have experienced an Ayurvedic massage usually comment on how different and wonderful it is.
