Can you describe your company in 1-3 sentences?
Shathayu was established in 1901 by renowned Vaidyaratna Ramayya Swamy with the intention of providing effective health care services to mankind. Shathayu’s main focus has been and continues to be on prevention, cure & wellness.
Shathayu Ayurveda is a pioneer in providing result & evidence based Ayurveda. Today, we have 15 centers under our brand and provide consultation and services for Prakruti analysis, Nadi Pariksha, detoxification, rejuvenation, stress management and slimming programs among other treatments.
Can you tell us about the services you offer?
Ayurveda is a traditional form of medicine from India that aims to find a balance between diet, herbal treatments, lifestyle and yoga for a healthy body and mind.
We treat customers with a variety of ailments including skin issues, arthritis, sciatic pain and so on. We offer a variety of panchakarma, or traditional healing therapies. Our most popular services are for weight loss, diabetes management, migraines, PCOD, infertility as well as beauty treatments.
How do you use Zenoti?
We use a number of the features in Zenoti including the appointment book, pos, marketing and employee management. We also pull financial data from the system, which helps us more easily manage revenue collections, payroll and commissions for all our centers.
We are able to manage all our centers from our central admin office, even with centers spread across states. Our admin office monitors appointments, collections, revenue, product sales, membership sales and more.
Can you share an example of how Zenoti helps your business?
One our most popular set of services are for weight loss. We don’t sell these as pre-defined packages though. The customer must first sit for a consultation with a doctor. They create a plan based on factors like current weight, target weight, lifestyle, diet, existing medical conditions and so on. Our ayurvedic approach is custom for each client, there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ package.
With Zenoti our receptionists create custom packages based on the client’s needs. They use a pre-defined template that gives them a structure to work off of with flexibility to customize each package.
The receptionist adds the right services and the system calculates when each sitting should be as we require clients to come in at the right time for each visit. The receptionist also enters the weight loss goal, uploads a starting picture of the client and the system also stores the details of the consultation for us. The software calculates the package expiry and manages partial payments for us as well – which is very common for our centers.
There’s a number of things that we can do with the custom packages that we had to do manually before. Most of our appointments are part of custom packages, and so this feature is critical for us.
How does Zenoti help you manage 15 locations?
12 of our 15 centers are franchisees. There are challenges when you operate a franchisee as quality control becomes that much harder. We take care of the training for all staff of own centers as well as our franchisee centers.
Zenoti helps us ensure that every location follows the same operational guidelines by giving us full visibility into each center’s operations and financial data like monthly payroll, collections and other accounting. One of the main things we monitor for every center is target sittings. So, every month we monitor if each center meets their overall sales target and package sales targets. We’re able to compare each and every center using ManageMySpa.
And, there are other things that we maintain control over. Pricing and sometimes services differ from center to center based on region. We control the menu from Zenoti for all the centers. We also are able to run marketing promotions for the entire organization, so we support our franchisees that way as well.
Is there anything else that you would like to add?
As an ayurvedic clinic we have different needs than a typical spa. I find that Zenoti supports our needs very well. It’s also easy for us to use, which is very important for us.
